Hailing from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the UK - now based in Austin, Texas - Nic Armstrong & The Thieves promise a real rock ’n roll show built on tip top songs - tunes that can turn on a psychological sixpence with hooks for days.
The band has toured internationally across North America, UK and Europe - including opening for icons Paul Weller, Oasis and The Pretenders; with performances at festivals including Coachella and Austin City Limits.
The music has garnered acclaim from national media outlets such as Rolling Stone, NPR, BBC, NME, The Late Late Show - and has featured in full-length films, shorts, computer games and even a Super Bowl commercial. Most recent release - Negative Slant EP - follows on from Pocketless Shirt, Broken Mouth Blues and debut album , The Greatest White Liar. In 2018, Broken Mouth Blues was featured in Mute - Duncan Jones’ full length feature for Netflix; and Natural Flair was included in New West Records 20th Anniversary Box Set.
With new projects in the works, Nic has returned to the legendary Toe Rag Studios in London to begin recording a new album.
